Follow the rivethead! It was through trailing a man dressed in cyber punk inspired fashion in broad daylight that my traveling companion and I were able to find the Cameo Theater in downtown Orlando.  I also spotted one of the industrial acts, Battle Day, and their so-called “Battle Van” in the parking lot so I knew we were in the vicinity of the site for the full-day event of the Florida Underground Industrial Music Festival (FUIMF) 2011. Even if there were saints among the crowd, it was a sinners’ ball.

The voyeuristic crowd enjoyed such a delightful and sexy time presented by Gen Vincent of the The Genitorturers who kicked ass in her combat boots and played a secret show at the sleepy, beachside town of Satellite Beach at the Sports Page. The Gore Gore A Go Go burlesque show delivered a sensual display of hot tits and tight asses that puts the strip club next door to shame. (more…)

Adelaide based duo Studio-X, comprised of Lawrie Masson (Project 2) and Matthew Martin (Mat-X) released their debut album Neo-Futurism under the labels Alfa Matrix (USA/Europe) and Death Watch Asia (Asia-Pacific).

Depicting an adrenaline-rushing future that is highly fast-paced, the compilation commands attention and only requires for its audience to dance hard. One experiences an inexplicable surge of energy derived from the pulsating rhythms and repetitive basslines. With the collaborative effort between master remixers and exclusive remixes from DJ Proteus and DJ LAB-4, the urge to dance to Neo-Futurism becomes irresistible. (more…)

Consider it proof that the scene is thriving.

Those that can’t appreciate the energies spent for everyone’s enjoyment can whine all they want but a :Destruktive: Productions event like the one held at Club Firestone in Orlando showcasing the great talents Assemblage 23, FGFC820 and Frightdoll is bound to shut them up. If not, we can count on unleashing the highly intimidating Rexx Arkana of FGFC820 who said it best when he bellowed out to the haters a very grandiose and personal “FUCK YOU!” Don’t we know better to bite the hand that feeds the soul?
