Psy’Aviah “Future Past” EP

Psy’Aviah reveals some new details around their upcoming “Future Past” EP. It builds on PSY’AVIAH’s previous album ”Introspection/Extrospection”, and takes it one step further. Having tasted electro-pop, dubstep and electro-house… they decided again to make it their own: resulting in a blend of ambient-dubstep on “Circles”, ballad like electro-pop on “Letting Go”, pure EBM vs Electro-House with acid elements on “Look Beyond”, and some dubstep-electro influences VS ambient textures on “Paused” and “Our Common Future”.

The EP will remind us through the lyrical themes how we all keep struggling with past trauma:  “… time and time again making the same mistakes… I guess it’s true when they say that people never change” (taken from the track “Circles”, below is a preview video of the track).

In true PSY’AVIAH tradition, this EP is again crowned by another prestigious collaboration: with miss Kyoko Baertsoen (former HOOVERPHONIC artist & co-founder of LUNASCAPE). Her unique voice & timbre perfectly fits the very emotional song “Our Common Future”.  Next to that it will include a batch of fresh sounding remixes form artist all around the globe & outside of the regular electro-industrial scene, ready to explore new sounds!

COMA Social merges with COMA Music Magazine

In the not too distant past we had the idea for a community oriented sister site for COMA. A site where you could post news yourself and interact with others. More recently we added a community updateable event calendar. Well, the site languished with very few posts or visits and  really, who needs another site for social interaction? So we recently decided it was time to retire it.

The problem was, a lot of work went into creating COMA Social and it did have some good features. So, instead of scrapping the entire project, we have brought the best parts over to COMA Music Magazine.

First off, we have decided to do away with the position of News Reporter. We have never been good at getting news posted on a regular basis and it really is a thankless job. So how will we get news for the site now? If you click the content menu and hover over news, you’ll see that you can now post it directly on the site. No more emailing something, waiting and hoping someone will take the time to post it. In addition, when you post news it also gets posted automatically to our twitter feed and facebook page (and it doesn’t get stuffed in the little ‘Posts By Others’ box either).

The other thing we have decided to bring over from COMA Social is the event page. The Event page is able to be filtered by Country, state (in the US), date range, name and event type (club night, concert or festival) making it ideal for those visiting a strange city and looking to get their oontz on.

So if you have some news the world at large needs to know about or an awesome event no one should miss, now’s your chance to get it out there. And you don’t even need another login, you can log in with your facebook, twitter, Google, Yahoo!, Windows Live or Open ID account. What could be easier?

He might dress it up in fancy terms, but we all know what Matt Fanale is really talking about.  He’s finally gotten off his baby-making ass and finished the FINAL six tracks for Caustic’s “two-albums-within-an-album” of The Man Who Couldn’t Stop.  Which supposedly is some sort of concept album thing corresponding to the 18 Chapters of Ulysses (which if Matt had actually read would know were called episodes and not chapters).  Anyway, since no self respecting business man will actually fund this lunatic, he’s launched yet another Kickstarter to beg you to fund his musical addiction.
