Song: Mirrors Fade
∆AIMON are an American dark electronic duo from San Diego, CA. They are one of the early adopters of the witch-house title but are generally considered cross-genre, utilizing strong influences from industrial, no-wave, hip-hop, and experimental music.
Having formed late July of 2010, the band’s first releases were two well received tracks uploaded to soundcloud (‘amen’ and ‘A SCREW’) that gained them the attention of bay area label Tundra Dubs through whom they have subsequently released two official EPs and a remix album. ∆AIMON’s use of sexual and occult imagery strongly tied to the dark aesthetics of their production has built them a unique identity within the witch-house scene.
Their first official EP, amen, was released February 8th, 2011 as a limited edition CDr that immediately sold-out within a few hours. It has since been re-printed by the band in a black and white digipak format and pressed to cassette by Berlin label Klangverhältnisse Records. With the success of their first EP, ∆AIMON went on to create their own niche within the dark electronic scene with a continous stream of remix work for artists including The Present Moment, CROSSOVER, FUNERALS, Soft Riot and more, as well as digital “mixtapes” for Disaro Records, Tundra Dubs, and various blogs and online-radio outlets.
∆AIMON’s second EP, Flatliner, was released April 17th 2012 through Tundra Dubs in vinyl and digital-download formats; once again selling it’s limited edition (transparent red vinyl) variant through pre-orders long before the official release date.
