Digital Glitch #58

Alright listeners! Here is the 58th episode of Digital Glitch! I hope you guys are ready for something new this week. But the thing is you are not going to get anything new this week, but instead it is all old! Now if you are not following me here yet this means that NOTHING in this set this week is from this year of 2012. Hell I do not have a track from 2011 or 2010 or even 2009! Everything in this set is at least 4 years old or older! You guys seem to like the older stuff, so here is a walk back to some of the tracks we have not heard in a long while! Playing names like Spahn Ranch, Cute.Rate.Box, Life Cried, Skinny Puppy and Amduscia! This is only a handful of what you will get in this mix! So download it and get ready to remember some of the tracks of the past and maybe even realize they are still kicking ass even today! Download, Share and Play it loud!

Digital Glitch #21
Aired: November 8th, 2011

Alright guys! I have looked back at my past sets and I see you responded to the one where I dug back into my collection a little deeper. So I once again dove head first into my collection and came out with some tracks as far back as 2001! Along with the tunes from the past I have some new music from Ivardensphere, Aesthetic Perfection and Distorted Memory. And then if that that was not enough I finally got my hands on the Das Bunker (Choice of a New Generation) 80′s cover album. Assemblage 23, Northborne and God Module doing some awesome covers of 80′s tunes. So crank up your stereo and do not get too comfortable, because you are going to want lots of arm room for this music to enter your body!

:CD Review: The Anix – Sleepwalker

The Anix – Sleepwalker
Released: August 30, 2011
Label: Cleopatra Records
Website: iamsleepwalker.com

Review by: Mary Bauer

California, three-man band, The Anix, are back with their second release, Sleepwalker. And…ya know what, it’s pretty damn good.

If the band name doesn’t ring a bell, then lead singer and guitarist, Brandon Smith, may; as he has been the guitarist for Apoptygma Berzerk for several years.

The two-disc package, produced by Die Krupps founder Jurgen Engler, Chris Lietz and Brandon Smith, turns out to be more 30 Seconds to Mars than APOP but make no mistake about it, this is alt rock at its best. (more…)

:Concert Review: Monsters on Tour II with Special Guest Angelspit

Monsters on Tour II with Special Guest Angelspit
May 3, 2011
Baltimore, Maryland, United States @ The Quarter @ Bourbon Street

Review by: William Dashiell Hammett

One thing, above all else, was confirmed on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in Baltimore: Andy LaPlegua is a showman, knowing exactly what to do to get the most response from his audience.

The night, as all nights in Baltimore, started slowly.  The crowd drifting in gradually as the first opening act, Star Killer, took to the stage.  Based out of Brooklyn, New York, Star Killer served the purpose of an opener.  Other then playing a decidedly hard style of music, best described as hard rock; they aren’t quite the genre fit one would have expected to be opening for some of the top aggressive Electro acts in the scene.
