Emilie Autumn
March 4th, 2011
Mesa, AZ, U.S. @ The Nile Theater

Review by: Dawne Flanagan

Emilie Autumn. The artist is not so much a creature, as she is a phenomenon. Known for screechy angst and electric violins, the corseted songstress graced us with her presence on an otherwise unassuming Friday. As I approached the Nile, the venue for the show, I passed by a motorcycle rally which had taken over all of the downtown area. I turned and turned again to find myself in a cobbled alley which made me giggle with the vision of Charles Dickens’ England, if only a little. Nachtmahr/ Uberbyte/ Kommand + Kontrol

Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England @ Corporation

However, their followers were obviously not present in the crowd. Donning Italian gangster outfits, Kommand + Kontrol gave a rather timid performance compared to the other acts that night, as they seemed to realize the crowd weren’t that into them, but watched and applauded politely. The half hour performance seemed to drag, but was received well, and it was all worth it to see Uberbyte… (more…)

Editorial note: Lorenzo is Italian. He originally sent me an English version of this review but thought he could better express himself in his native tongue. Rather than attempt a half-asses translation with some free online software, I have decided to post it in the original Italian. Feel free to run it through a translator yourself if you like.
