It started with this idea: the goth/industrial scene was highly influenced by the 80′s New Wave scene and some of the bands in our little band of misfits even started out playing New Wave. Therefore, it only seemed natural to pay tribute to the music of the 80′s New Wave scene with our own goth/industrial compilation.
When this compilation was first announced in early August we got a flood of interest right off the bat. We waited patiently, getting a rough draft here and there and getting more and more confident that this was going to be one hell of a collection. Well, it’s finally here. This is the moment you have been waiting for: the release of our awesome New Wave tribute compilation, Tainted Candy. (more…)

Matt Fanale has never been one to settle for just one thing. Like a kid in an ice cream shop, his eyes get all big when considering artists to work with. Somewhat controversial (his lyrics are generally considered shocking, if humorous) his career as a musician began in 2002 when he started Caustic (the band name being the only suggestion his then girlfriend, now wife, liked) and he enjoys bringing in other musicians to collaborate and perform live with. Over the past nine years, he has released eight albums and EPs on Crunch Pod, independently himself and now on Metropolis Records. His latest album, The Golden Vagina of Fame and Profit, was even the top seller on Metropolis Mail Order for a time this past spring. But now, having gotten beyond the kid in the ice cream shop salivating, Matt Fanale chose twenty-two artist to rework some of his songs for the digital only release Douche Ex Machina remix album.
