What music will you have playing in your final minute? That is THE essential question that we all have to ask ourselves, facing the end to come. Various Artists – Electronic Saviors Volume II Recurrence
Release Date: May 8, 2012
Label: Metropolis Records
Website: electronicsaviors.com

Review by: DeVico

Jim Semonik is back with the second compilation installment of Electronic Saviors and this time, the ceiling has been lifted to become an even huger and massive compilation. With proceeds going to at least two charities: Gilda’s Club/Cancer Support Community and The Bone Marrow Foundation you get the chance to help others and build your music library. ES Volume 1 was a sold out product on Metropolis Records and with good fortune, I am hoping they have the same scenario with ES Volume 2. The premium edition of ES 2 comes with six CD’s and two digital discs. This compilation clocks at 142 tracks with over 10 hours of play. Seriously, this is a juggernaut of music. (more…)

:CD Review: Aesthetic Perfection – All Beauty Destroyed

Aesthetic Perfection – All Beauty Destroyed
Label: Metropolis Records
Release Date: November 8, 2011
Website: aesthetic-perfection.net

Review by: Esali Dot

All Beauty Destroyed is the new album out now by Aesthetic Perfection. The 18 tracks of awesomeness share bits of Daniel Graves favorite genres as well as six remixes by Hocico, Caustic, Alter Der Ruine, and a few others. Whats not to love?

Lyrically it sounds more like the score to a movie about a man’s struggles and outlook on life. Musically All Beauty Destroyed combines the softer sounds of Graves’ other project Necessary Response with the strong electro aggression that is Aesthetic Perfection. WARNING! The new sound is not for the musically closed minded, aggrotech junkie, or the average cybergoth searching for the next goth club hit. (more…)

Reviewed by Matt Fanale

SATURDAY, MAY 15TH

*IVARDENSPHERE opened the Saturday line-up, with a fucking incredible hard mix of rhythmicnoise, live drumming, and simply some evil, awesome beats. They were one of the big surprises of the fest for me and great guys.

MEMMAKER played next, aka ISZOLOSCOPE but with Guillaume and Yann’s stuff getting played. Four dudes with massive energy dancing their asses off, headbanging, and getting molested by 2 dudes dressed as furries from hell. You kinda had to be there for it, but it was pretty great. (more…)
