With the prevalence of programs like Garage Band, Logic Pro and Pro Tools it seems as if there is no lack of electronic music groups invading the scene. Forming in 2008 in New Haven, Connecticut, Twitch the Ripper has something that most do not—an ability to create catchy songs with interesting melodies. Putting aside their abilities for the moment, the duo of Jon Dobyn and Lonn Bologna have put together a resume that spotlights dedication if nothing else. Review by: William Dashiell Hammett

It was a night of contrasts when Twitch the Ripper, 16Volt and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult took the stage in Baltimore–musically, aesthetically and demographically.

Opening the gig was a Harrisburg, PA based group called DeathMachine whom played some downright heavy industrial metal.  While still young and needing fine-tuning, they definitely showed potential as they played to a pretty small gathering. (more…)
