Juno Reactor – Inside the Reactor
Release Date: July 12, 2011
Label: Metropolis
Website: http://www.junoreactor.com/

Review by: Neska Lapicki

Juno Reactor are described as a group that has no band members, and never will. Its origins stem from a mobile musical and visual art piece called “The Missile Project” conceived by Ben Watkins, Stefan Holweck, and sculpture artist Norma Fletcher in an attempt to raise awareness about nuclear war in 1990. The centerpiece of the project was a massive concrete replica of a decommissioned missile nicknamed Juno Reactor which actually led to the arrest of all of the project members just a few hours into the exhibition. And as the UK police dismantled their namesake, Juno Reactor was born. Still headed by Ben Watkins and an ever increasing list of “collaborators” (the website currently lists 139 groups and individuals) from various countries, cultures, and disciplines, Juno Reactor absolutely creates a true fusion of music, mysticism, and the celebration of life in all its forms.
