Kinetik Festival – Phase 04

NITRONOISE opened up Phase 4 of Kinetik. I was looking forward to seeing them perform live, despite the fact I have only heard a few songs by them. They have recently been signed to Deathwatch Asia as one of 3 new bands this Summer on DWA’s roster. Their album Total Nihilism is getting great reviews. Three guys hit the stage with really heavy EBM and even undertones of break beat spilling out on the dance floor. The crowd was dwindling at the beginning of their set but about 15 minutes in a bigger crowd began to hear the goods and boot stomping proceeded. I really enjoy acts that make their show a performance by ‘dressing up’ and you can tell they took a lot of thought and time to powder themselves not to mention that all 3 of the guys looked creepy post apocalyptic. I honestly do not like guitars in my industrial/EBM but it seemed to work well with them. Finally by the last song ‘Synchronised Beat Fuck’ they had a larger crowd and rocked the dance floor. Saturday night was the night I had been waiting for!  Kinetik – Phase 03 is almost my dream line up. Tonight’s lineup: ALICEFFEKT, END.USER, C-LEKKTOR, FGFC820,NOISEX, HOCICO, and ISZOLOSCOPE. I have never been so excited in my entire life! (more…)
