COMA Music Magazine Fundraiser 2012
So what is this fundraiser all about? Well, we have shot all our live footage with the same $200 camera for the last five years and now that camera is starting to fail. This presents the perfect opportunity to upgrade to hi def for more awesome videos and the camera I have found? Holy shit is it perfect for live footage.
In addition to that, US Airways busted the main lens I shoot live photography with when we went to Cyber Genetic Winter Fest so that needs to be replaced as well. So that, in a nutshell is what we are trying to accomplish here. Take a look at the incentives and be ready because it goes live at 10am MST March 14th, 2012.

Manufactura – Avulsion
Label: Crunch Pod
Release Date: November 11, 2011
Website: Facebook.com/Manufactura
Review by: Neska Lapicki
Whatever you have come to expect from Manufactura over the last decade, expect something wildly different from Karloz M’s 7th full length studio album Avulsion. To call this release minimal is an understatement of epic proportions, yet it carries a powerful darkness that creeps into you then slips elusively away. Described by the band as music for prayer, meditation, drug consumption, magick, remote viewing, deep relaxation, astral projection, lucid dreaming, healing and/or other states of consciousness, this is not so much a concept album as a tribute dedicated to the memory of the band COIL. Digital Glitch #28
Aired: January 24, 2012

Digital Glitch 28, coming at you in full stereo for your face! This set begins with the letter I and gets to the letter P! Are you ready for this kind of abuse? It is gonna get so nasty on the mic, you might just have to be tested after hearing it! This week I give my two cents on how the media chooses what they want to make into a movie and how absolutely wrong they were to NOT make the movie Bioshock. Do you find the word cougar offensive, or would you be offended if your child went to a school with this mascot? A whole lot of ranting, good music and just typical GlitchMode BS in this episode #28! So get ready for some more mind blowing orgasmic tune release! HERE COMES THE BEATS!

:Feature: Crunch Pod Retrospective
Even to those whom are unaware of the label, the name evokes a specific image of primitive edginess (the Crunch) and, at the same time, sleek modernity (the Pod). Founded in 1998 by Ben Arp, Crunch Pod served as the incubator for artists like Caustic, Manufactura, Bitch Brigade, Uberbyte, Polluted Axis, Ben Arp’s own C/A/T and many many more. Originally a traditional label, in that they had a business plan similar to many of the major record companies and released actual physical CDs, Crunch Pod transitioned to a digital only label in 2010 a move brought on by the many changes to the music industry during the thirteen years of the label’s existence. When the label was founded, there was no bandcamp, SoundCloud, Pandora, etc…, social network sites like Facebook and MySpace didn’t exist and it wasn’t until a year later that those who were “computer savvy†could use the original Napster. It was another three years from the label’s birth to the release of the first 5 GB iPod, when the digital music revolution was effectively launched.

:News: New Manufactura Album Details Announced
Karloz.M and Crunch Pod have released the details for the release of the upcoming Manufactura album Avulsion. Described by Karlos as “a dark ambient album with power electronics elements, it is my most selfish album”, it is set to be released on November 11, 2011, most likely one of Crunch Pod’s last releases before closing up shop.
Avulsion is the 7th studio album by Manufactura. With this new body of work, producer Karloz.M states the music on this album is intended for prayer, meditation, drug consumption, magick, remote viewing, deep relaxation, astral projection, lucid dreaming, healing and/or other states of consciousness and it is dedicated to the memory of COIL. Avulsion distinguishes itself from all other Manufactura albums in that the music strictly focuses on intricate and dynamic dark ambient soundscapes and atmospheric arrangements laced with elements of power electronics. It all lies between moments of unending darkness, glimpses of distant torture and vast uneasy calmness. The album features artwork by Alexander Froebel (www.pixelbreed.com) and it also includes 4 collaborative tracks between Travis Morgan (Rec|use / Black Meat), Shaun Frandsen (Sudden Death Over Time / Glis), Justin Cameron (Lexincrypt), Jeff Jeff Swearengin (Sleep Clinic) and Karloz.M. Through his latest opus, once again Manufactura surprises and astonishes with yet another release that will surely stir his many fans and critics alike. Ears, headphones and/or speakers, beware. Since 1979 The Animal Legal Defense Fund have been fighting for animal rights, domestic and wild, by working to improve and expand laws protecting animals and to help make penalties against animal abusers much tougher. In association with Crunch Pod, the electronic music label founded by Ben Arp, comes the compilation album Justicia Pro Bestia containing 24 previously unreleased songs and/or remixes from an exceptionally diverse group of artists from across the spectrum of electronic music.

Manufactura – The Pleasures of the Damned
Release Date: July 22, 2011
Label: Rustblade
Website: Facebook.com/Manufactura
Review by: Neska Lapicki
It seems as though writing music is a process of personal exorcism for Karloz M, the man behind Manufactura. The band, and the man himself have often been described as controversial, violent, and in your face. In listening to the newest release “Pleasures of The Damnedâ€, a retrospective that spans the first decade of Manufactura, you get the sense that this is no mere marketing angle. Rather than violent imagery for its own sake to sound cool, you get the sense of a man exploring the darkest parts of his psyche and staring into the face of his own inner demons. (more…)

:Editorial: Reflections of Madness
The views and opinions expressed in this article are those of the author alone, and do not necessarily reflect those of COMA Music Magazine.
An editorial and review by Karloz.M of Manufactura
To those who don’t know of me, my name is Karloz.M, I write music for an underground electronic project called Manufactura and several others. I am writing this editorial as a rebuttal of sorts to an unjust categorization of my beliefs, my music and the people who enjoy listening to my music. I do this mainly because I find the general characterization and uneducated statements extremely offensive but also they could be nothing further from the truth.  Recently a so called music review of my last album written by one Ryan Dunkle on some kind of on-line rag called “Reflections of Darknessâ€, stated “Karloz M … adopts the easiest point of view, the one of journalistic reality, which at the end is not a reality at all. It is a pseudo-construction that is aiding the Tea Party to organize its crusades of morality against the “inhuman†and “demoralisedâ€[sic] aspects of life. It is the reality of Fox News, of Sarah Palin, of the Creationists and their likes. His lyrics ooze not from a militaristic point of view but from something else; that we need more police measures and techniques to save us from the evil within.â€

:News: Crunch Pod Annouces JUSTICIA PRO BESTIA Charity Compilation
Throughout much of the United States animals have about as many rights as a piece of furniture. There are more laws protecting your car then there are for animals. They are considered nothing more than “property†and do not deserve any rights. People who abuse them usually get little to no punishment for the suffering they cause.  It’s time for that to change.
