I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I first picked up Pay Your Dues from Polaroid Kiss, but the cover image had me totally intrigued. What I discovered through listening to the album was that Brandun Reed collaborates with two of my favorite musicians in the world (Ian from The Sneaker Pimps and Perry from The Cure), and in doing so, he makes music that could be considered a bridge between Trip Hop, New Wave and Synthpop. Brandun combines the best of each of those genres and creates something unique and flavorful and completely his own. (more…)
