Blasting in like a cold wind out of the Netherlands is the latest release (Maschinenwesen) from that country’s electro/industrial/gothic visionaries, Schwarzblut. Maschinenwesen is an album packed full of variety, imagination, and spectacular sounds. One minute you’re getting throttled by the buzzsaw industrial smashing of songs like “Schlusspoetik”, with it’s harsh but not over-processed vocals, and the next minute you’re listening to the beautiful voice of Angelika belting out the beautifully moving ballad “Der schere Abend”. I promise to play all 8 discs off the premium version of the album, and on this episode of Digital Glitch #41 we move onto disc 2 named denial. All right the first episode in April is here and out for your downloading pleasure! I had a hell of a great mix to start off the beginning of the month! Such an awesome list of new artists that came out the end of March and the beginning of April! There is first time tracks in here by Alien Vampires, Chainreactor, Detroit Diesel, C-Lekktor, Readjust, AlDae and the Glitch pick of the month Freakangel! This entire mix was almost nothing but brand new music I think accept for a much needed Suicide Commando track and one other. Alfa Matrix released the first Depeche Mode tribute album back in May of 2009 with successful feedback. The label bands persisted for a second volume. Thankfully, Alfa Matrix listened and two years later we have Alfa Matrix Re:Covered Vol.2 – A Tribute To Depeche Mode. While we have many that were seen on the first volume, we now have the additions of acts such as Unter Null, Alien Vampires, Studio-X, amGod, and Diskonnekted, just to name a few. (more…)
